Job Title: Snow Removal & Landscaping Labourer (Seasonal / On-Call)
Location: Guelph, ON
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (on-call during snow events)
About the Role
Express Employment Professionals Guelph is recruiting hard-working and reliable Snow Removal & Landscaping Labourers for a reputable company in Guelph.
This is a seasonal, on-call position running from November 15th to April 15th.
Candidates must be able to perform heavy manual labour and respond on short notice—including early mornings, daytime call-ins, and weekend snow events. A valid G-Class license with a clean driver’s abstract is required.
You must also have a minimum of 3 years of proven driving experience with a truck and trailer, with a formal employment/experience letter provided for insurance purposes.
Key Responsibilities
- Remove snow from walkways, driveways, and commercial properties using shovels and wheelbarrows
- Assist with salting and ice management (salt truck operation available for experienced drivers)
- Support general landscaping and property maintenance as needed
- Safely operate a 1-ton pickup truck with a salt spreader (if assigned)
- Travel to client locations as directed
Requirements
- Valid G-Class Driver’s License
- Clean Driver’s Abstract (required by insurance)
- 25 years of age or older (insurance requirement)
- Minimum 3 years of proven driving experience with a truck and trailer
- Formal employment/experience letter required for insurance purposes
- Previous snow removal experience is an asset
- Landscaping or heavy manual labour experience required
- Physically able to perform strenuous work for extended periods (up to 10 hours/day)
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Comfortable with on-call availability and working in harsh weather
