Job Title: Snow Removal & Landscaping Labourer (Seasonal/ On-Call)
Location: Guelph, ON
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (on-call during snow events)
About the Role
Express Employment Professionals Guelph is recruiting hard-working and reliable Snow Removal & Landscaping Labourers for a reputable company in Guelph.
This is a seasonal, on-call position starting November 15th through April 15th.
You must be able to perform heavy manual labour and be available on short notice, including early mornings, days, and weekends during snow events and have a Valid G class License with a CLEAN drivers abstract to be considered for the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use snow shovels and wheelbarrows to remove snow from walkways, driveways, and commercial properties
- Assist with salting and ice management (may operate a salt truck if experienced)
- Perform general landscaping and property maintenance duties when required
- Safely operate a 1-ton pickup truck with a salt spreader (if assigned)
- Travel to client sites as directed
Requirements:
- Valid G-Class Driver’s License (required)
- Clean Driver’s Abstract (required for insurance purposes)
- 25 years of age or older (insurance requirement)
- Previous snow removal experience is an asset
- Landscaping and manual labour experience required
- Must be physically capable of heavy labour — shovelling and lifting for up to 10 hours per day
- Reliable and able to work independently
- Comfortable with on-call work and variable weather conditions
