Mechanical Technologist
Location: Guelph, ON
Schedule: Monday to Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Salary: $50,000 – $60,000 per year

About the Opportunity
Express Employment Professionals is recruiting on behalf of a well-established local company in Guelph for a Mechanical Technologist. This is a full-time, day-shift position offering stable hours, competitive compensation, and the opportunity to work in a collaborative and technical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret engineering drawings, designs, and specifications for the shop floor
- Perform receiving and QA/QC inspection (and documentation) of inbound and outbound products
- Assist with shop scheduling and expediting
- Assist with the release of shop travelers and work orders
- Kit production parts for fabrication and assembly
- Generate shipping load plans
- Review equipment test plans and assist with equipment testing
Qualifications & Requirements
- Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings; familiarity with GD&T is required
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks; Microsoft Excel, Experience using QC inspection tools (verniers, micrometers)
- Versatile, highly motivated self-starter with strong hands-on skills
- Ability to plan, organize, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- 1–2 years of engineering or manufacturing experience
