QA Engineer/CMM Programmer
Location: Guelph, ON
Schedule: Monday to Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 per year

About the Opportunity
Express Employment Professionals is recruiting on behalf of a well-established auto component manufacturer in Guelph. The desired candidate will lead new product development efforts to ensure robust builds through effective quality planning, inspection programming, and gauge design.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead zero-defect initiatives and shop-floor quality improvement activities
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions with cross-functional teams
- Serve as primary quality contact for customers and suppliers
- Prepare and maintain quality documentation for new models and process changes
- Review and approve PPAP for new models and suppliers
- Manage containment activities and non-conformance documentation
- Conduct supplier quality audits and support corrective actions
- Communicate quality requirements to the shop floor
- Monitor and reduce Cost of Quality
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 / ISO standards
CMM Programming & Metrology
- Program and optimize Mitutoyo CMMs using MCOSMOS (scanning & touch probe)
- Modify existing programs and apply advanced programming techniques
- Use MeasureLink for SPC and capability analysis
- Interpret blueprints and advanced GD&T
- Perform minor CMM maintenance and support calibration studies
- Train and support team members on CMM setup and troubleshooting
Qualifications & Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in automotive precision machining
- 3–5 years advanced Mitutoyo CMM programming (MCOSMOS preferred)
- Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC (MiniTab), and GD&T
- ASQ / CQE certification
- Comfortable with both TP20 and SM25 probing systems
- Ability to create a program with or without a part using the part drawing or the CAD model as reference
