About the Opportunity:
Express Employment Professionals is hiring on behalf of our client in Guelph. We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Full-Cycle Bookkeeper to join their team in the construction industry. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing all aspects of bookkeeping, working with clients, and supporting financial operations in a professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and general ledger management
- Process payroll and related remittances accurately and on time
- Prepare and issue invoices efficiently
- Complete monthly and year-end reconciliations
- Prepare and file HST, WSIB, EHT, and other government returns
- Conduct month-end tasks, including bank and credit card reconciliations and reporting
- Support year-end reporting and audit preparation
- Prepare financial statements and management reports
- Handle cash and cheques securely
- Maintain professional communication with clients and internal teams
- Perform general administrative duties, including answering phones, responding to emails, organizing documents, and assisting with day-to-day office operations
- Other duties as required
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online
- Post-secondary education in bookkeeping or accounting preferred
- Satisfactory references and background check required
- Must have own transportation
