Shop Helper - Evaluation Hire
Location: Guelph, ON
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30 pm
Job Description
Express Employment Professionals Guelph is currently hiring on behalf of a small, family-owned manufacturing company in Guelph. We are seeking a friendly and reliable Shop Helper with welding experience.
Responsibilities
- Utilizing an Oxy-Acetylene Torch to apply coatings to parts
- Completing all training required
- Grinding parts with angle grinders, marking and prepping parts, general clean-up
- Reading blueprints
- Using measuring tools such as a Micrometer
Requirements
- Welding experience is an asset due to use of Oxy-Acetylene torch
- Experience working in a small shop environment
- Experience operating a lift-truck is an asset
- Ability to lift between 30-40lbs, crane available to assist lifting parts up to 80lbs.
- Experience working with Oxy-Acetylene Torch, Micrometer, Hand-Grinding Tools, Lift-Truck, Sandblaster
