Scheduler/Dispatch

Schedule: Monday - Friday - 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
About the Role
Express Employment Guelph is currently recruiting for a Scheduler/Dispatcher for a well-established company in Guelph.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and manage inspections, testing and preventative maintenance for Fire Life Safety systems
- Ensure all work meets regulatory deadlines and compliance requirements
- Assign and coordinate technicians based on skills, certifications and location
- Dispatch personnel for service calls, emergencies and trouble signals
- Maintain scheduling systems and update job records (appointments, cancellations, reschedules)
- Track inspection due dates and generate compliance reports
- Prepare and collect job documentation, permits and inspection reports
- Communicate with customers (confirmations, updates, inquiries and quotes)
- Coordinate with project managers on installations and upgrades
- Plan for site access, permits and special requirements
- Optimize technician routes, workloads and resource allocation
- Monitor performance metrics and improve scheduling efficiency
- Coordinate multi-system service visits with subcontractors
- Track and manage maintenance contract renewals
- Prioritize and handle emergency response scheduling
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dispatch/scheduling position in the Fire Life Safety Industry
- Reliable transportation to get to and from office
- Someone who can stay calm under pressure and stay organized
- Strong computer skills and record keeping accuracy
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication
- Ability to handle difficult customers and has a positive and eager mindset
- Ability to handle a high paced work environment
