QA Supervisor
Guelph, ON
Pay: $60000-$70000 Full Time
Shift: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Monday - Friday - Must be flexible on shift working times
Reporting to the Quality VP
Responsibilities:
- Communicate quality issues or concerns with crew members at each workstation and Plant Management Team
- Review completed dockets to verify counts and forward shortage and overage reports when applicable
- Delegate responsibilities to QA Inspectors
- Complete monthly QAR sorting report
- Review QA Reports for accuracy and completeness
- Assist with final inspection and sorting
- Complete Certificate of Compliances
- Verify case labels and retain one case label
- Complete yield and hold tags when required
- Cut and prepare colour standards
- Perform special tests when requested by the customer
- Schedule QA hours and submit timesheets in Dayforce
- Assist in the training of Quality Assurance employees
- Maintain and adhere to safety standards and perform housekeeping duties
- Demonstrate a deliberate focus on Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Customer Satisfaction
Qualifications/Skills Required
- Previous experience in a Quality position in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge and understanding of the Print, Die Cut, Glue, Ship process is an asset
- Ability to follow instructions to achieve a desired goal
- Strong oral and written communication skills and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Basic computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook
Physical Requirements
- Be able to lift objects weighing 15-20 pounds safely and effectively, with the capability to lift more
- Stand for extended periods
- Maintain good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Sustain physical endurance for a fast-paced
