Mechanical Assembler
Guelph, ON
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Full-time (Evaluation to Hire)
Pay: Starting at $19.00/hour (with opportunities for wage increases based on performance.)
Express Employment Professionals Guelph is recruiting on behalf of a well-established local manufacturer specializing in water and wastewater treatment systems. We are looking for reliable, mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy hands-on work and want to grow with a company that values teamwork, quality, and continuous learning.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assemble mechanical components used in water and wastewater treatment systems.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools to complete assemblies.
- Operate basic shop equipment including drills, brake presses, and other machinery.
- Perform sub-assembly and basic electrical assembly tasks.
- Read and follow work instructions and assembly procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Lift and move materials weighing between 30–50 lbs.
- Work collaboratively with a team to meet production goals.
What We're Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or a related production environment.
- Comfortable using hand tools and basic shop equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Reliable with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Assets (Not Required)
- Experience operating production machinery.
- Welding experience.
- Experience with brake presses or drills.
- Electrical assembly experience.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Experience in mechanical production or manufacturing.
