Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate – Fergus, ON
Day & Afternoon Shifts Available | $22/hour Starting Wage | Monday–Friday
Position Details:

- Starting Wage: $22/hour

- Transportation: Must have a reliable vehicle (not accessible by public transit)
Express Employment Professionals Guelph is recruiting for a great long-term opportunity with a growing company in Fergus, ON. We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate to join their team. This is an evaluation-to-hire opportunity for the right fit, with the potential to transition into a permanent position.
Reliability, consistency, and a strong work ethic are key to success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift approximately 70% of the time to move and organize materials
- Load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility
- Move bins of material to grinding machines and recycling equipment
- Assist with warehouse duties including:
- Using box cutters
- Operating mechanical tippers (training provided)
- Using pallet jacks
- Assisting with material movement using leaf blowers to help move material through chutes
- Perform general labour duties as required
- Safely change propane tanks on forklifts when needed
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to regularly lift and move bins/material weighing approximately 55 lbs
- Comfortable performing repetitive physical work, including lifting, standing, and moving materials
- Ability to safely transport materials to machines and recycling areas
Qualifications:
- Previous forklift experience required
- Ability to safely operate a forklift in a warehouse/manufacturing environment
- Experience changing propane tanks on forklifts required
- Strong attention to safety and following procedures
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Willingness to work hard and contribute to a team
- Mechanical equipment experience is an asset (training provided)
