Order Picker / Material Handler / Forklift Operator
$23.00–$25.00 an hour | Full-time | Guelph, ON | Straight Midnight Shift
Express Employment Professionals Guelph is currently recruiting for an experienced Order Picker / Material Handler for a busy manufacturing environment.
THIS IS A STRAIGHT MIDNIGHT SHIFT – 11:00 PM TO 7:00 AM.
This is a key requirement of the position. The successful candidate must be comfortable working a consistent overnight schedule.
Job Details
- Schedule: 11:00 PM–7:00 AM
- Job Type: Full-time
- Overtime required as truck schedules demand
- Voluntary weekend overtime may be available
What You'll Do
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently throughout the facility
- Pick orders accurately and build skids for shipment
- Feed raw materials to production lines and remove finished materials
- Pre-plan materials needed for the morning shift
- Load and unload trucks
- Organize inventory in racks and designated warehouse areas
- Perform cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies
- Receive, label and organize incoming materials
- Complete inventory and material movements within the ERP system
- Maintain general housekeeping throughout the warehouse and production areas
- Assist with production when required
- Take initiative and keep busy without constant supervision
What We're Looking For
- Valid forklift license/certification and strong forklift driving experience
- Previous warehouse/material handling experience
- 5+ years of forklift experience preferred
- Manufacturing or production experience is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work overtime when required
