Office Manager / Bookkeeper

Full-Time | In-Office | $26-$34/hour

We are seeking an experienced Office Manager / Bookkeeper to oversee daily bookkeeping and office administration for a Guelph organization.

This role is responsible for full-cycle bookkeeping, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, financial reporting, and general office administration. The ideal candidate has strong accounting knowledge, Sage 300 experience, and excellent attention to detail.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily bookkeeping functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Process cash receipts and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintain general ledger and subledger accounts.
  • Prepare and update financial reports, spreadsheets, and internal documentation.
  • Support month-end accounting and reporting processes.
  • Maintain organized financial records, journal entries, and audit trails.
  • Oversee general office administration, scheduling, and day-to-day office activities.
  • Communicate with staff, vendors, and external partners.
  • Handle confidential financial and business information professionally.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • 4+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
  • 2+ years of current Sage 300 experience.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger, subledgers, double-entry bookkeeping, and GAAP principles.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
