Our client is a Public Accountant Firm that is currently looking for Senior Accounting Manager to join the team.
About the Position:
The Senior Accounting Manager plays a key leadership role within the public accounting firm, overseeing a team of accountants and managing multiple client engagements. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with applicable standards (GAAP, IFRS, CRA regulations, etc.), and providing strategic advice to clients. The role requires excellent technical accounting knowledge, client service skills, and team management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and review complex audit, tax, or advisory engagements for a variety of clients across industries
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client communications and relationship management
- Supervise, mentor, and train accounting staff, seniors, and associates
- Ensure compliance with all professional standards and firm policies
- Review and approve financial statements, workpapers, and tax returns
- Assist partners in business development, including proposal development and client presentations
- Monitor budgets, billing, and profitability of engagements
- Conduct technical research and stay updated on new accounting standards and regulations
- Participate in internal firm initiatives such as training programs, process improvements, and quality control
- Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA eligible or working toward CPA certification (preferred)
- Minimum of 6–8 years of experience in public accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, and industry-specific practices
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95000-$140000 per year
