Position Summary

The Logistics Coordinator will play a critical role in coordinating all customs and logistics-related functions. This position ensures adherence to Canadian and international customs regulations and maintains company compliance standards. The successful candidate will be involved in various operational and administrative logistics activities across departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all customs functions, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies.
  • Prepare and manage export documentation, ensuring alignment with Canadian and international regulations.
  • Communicate with carriers, customs agents, and border authorities to expedite import/export processes.
  • Liaise with Sales Correspondents regarding shipment delivery ETAs and missing documentation (e.g., customs broker details, tax IDs).
  • Maintain daily customs documentation files (e.g., B13, trade agreement certificates).
  • Coordinate shipments across all departments as needed.
  • Review, approve, or reject logistics invoices from carriers and 3rd-party billing entities.
  • Report on logistics security audits and ensure compliance with the security manual.
  • File all shipping and receiving paperwork.
  • Perform monthly Bill of Lading audits.
  • Manage the shipping of samples and courier deliveries.
  • Verify customs-related invoices.
  • Qualify and classify new parts for NAFTA eligibility.
  • Book freight and prepare documents for raw materials and outsourced processes.
  • Coordinate offsite storage for internal accounting records.
  • Maintain the no-charge shipment log.
  • Support implementation of logistics tools and databases.
  • Oversee use of Health & Safety codes and live release policies to benefit the company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • In-depth knowledge of Canadian and U.S. customs procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and SAP.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Business Diploma preferred.
  • Experience in customs brokerage is an asset.
