Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our our client in the Hamilton area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors, and maintaining financial records. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles.
Duties
- Process vendor invoices and ensure accuracy before payment approval.
- Perform account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
- Manage payment schedules and ensure timely payments to vendors.
- Assist in maintaining the accounts payable ledger and related documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft for data entry and record keeping.
- Support payroll processing using systems like ADP or UltiPro as needed.
- Conduct analysis of accounts payable data to identify trends or issues.
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software including Workday, QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, and UltiPro.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Experience with HRIS systems such as Kronos for payroll management.
- Excellent data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills for account reconciliation and financial analysis.
- Familiarity with bookkeeping principles and human resources functions is a plus.
