Overview
Our client is a growing business in Hamilton that specializes in providing customers with quality aftermarket pump parts, repairs and related services. We are currently looking for an Assembly Technician to join their team. This is a Direct Hire Position!!
Shift: This is a day shift Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments
- Dismantle, inspect, and assess repair work and document findings
- Work with lead technicians to develop scope of work required for repair
- Assemble repair work and document
- Operate dynamic balance, document results
- Operate EDM
- Repair and dress castings
- Make wood shipping crates
- General housekeeping
Experience
- Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred
- Familiarity with machining processes and caliper usage is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately
- Proficiency in using various hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks
Other Skills to Be Considered an Asset:
- Welding
- Forklift Experience
- Certificate of qualification as General Machinist
- Carpentry
