Job Summary
The ideal candidate will manage daily office operations while providing limited clinical support to healthcare professionals. This role requires a friendly, patient-focused individual who can remain professional and organized in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Duties:
- Greet and assist patients in a warm, professional manner
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow efficiently
- Handle phone calls, emails, billing, and insurance claims
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records (EMR systems)
- Ensure the reception and waiting areas are welcoming and well-organized
- Manage office inventory and supplies
Clinical Support Duties:
- Perform blood draws (phlebotomy) following proper protocols
- Administer injections and vaccinations under appropriate supervision
- Record patient vitals and prepare exam rooms for consultations
- Assist healthcare providers with minor procedures or diagnostic tests
- Follow all infection control and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Medical Office Assistant (MOA) certificate required
- Proven experience performing blood draws, injections, and vaccinations
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage high patient volumes
- Friendly, professional, and approachable personality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with medical office software and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of medical terminology, confidentiality policies (PHIPA/HIPAA), and infection control
- Reliable, team-oriented, and adaptable to changing priorities
