Job Details / Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG welding on various materials, including steel, ferrous and non-ferrous components
- Fabricate, repair, and modify parts, assemblies, and custom builds
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, schematics, and technical drawings
- Operate cutting torches, grinders, hand tools, and power tools
- Use measuring tools such as calipers to ensure precision and accuracy
- Assist with rigging and material handling (crane/forklift experience is an asset)
- Operate shop equipment such as press brakes, plasma cutters, fixtures, and jigs
- Inspect welds for strength, alignment, and accuracy
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace
- Collaborate with team members to support efficient workflow and production goals
Skills & Qualifications:
- 2+ year of MIG welding experience (fabrication or industrial welding)
- Ability to read blueprints and use basic measuring tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, punctual, and team-focused attitude
- CWB GMAW certification is a strong asset — but not required for all roles
- Experience with forklifts, cranes, or rigging is a plus
- TIG or Stick welding experience is an asset
