Shipping & Supply Coordinator

Position Overview
The Shipping & Supply Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient shipping, receiving, and inventory operations. This position coordinates customer orders, manages transportation logistics, maintains accurate records, and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate all shipping and receiving activities, including glass supply arrangements.
- Manage and document incoming and outgoing freight/materials using company software.
- Inspect incoming loads for damage, verify paperwork, and report discrepancies.
- Ensure all shipping documents are accurate, signed, coded, and forwarded appropriately.
- Work with warehouse and plant teams to confirm lot numbers, weights, product codes, and special shipping instructions (e.g. packaging, color coding, stenciling).
- Arrange transportation, including negotiating freight rates and securing carrier insurance documentation.
- Track and process orders, returns, and consignment billings; maintain accurate inventory records.
- Interface daily with Quality Assurance to coordinate shipment certifications.
- Control site access and monitor all incoming/outgoing traffic at the plant gate.
- Provide directions to drivers and maintain dispatch records.
- Ensure all shipments are properly loaded, documented, and compliant with regulations before leaving the facility.
- Generate end-of-month reports and support internal teams with accurate shipping/receiving data.
- Create product labels and assist with packaging needs as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience: Shipping, receiving, or logistics experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
- Technical skills: Strong knowledge of shipping/receiving processes, transportation logistics, and relevant software systems.
- Certifications: WHMIS and Dangerous Goods training (required or willingness to obtain).
- Strengths: Detail-oriented, organized, excellent communication skills, and customer service mindset.
- Other: Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams in a fast-paced environment.
