About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Packager to join their production team in Hamilton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work in a clean manufacturing environment and takes pride in producing high-quality products.
The successful candidate will be responsible for packaging finished products, completing quality checks, and preparing orders for shipment while maintaining a safe and organized work area.
Responsibilities
- Package finished products according to company specifications
- Inspect products for quality, defects, and accuracy before packaging
- Label, seal, and prepare products for shipping
- Assemble packaging materials such as boxes, inserts, and protective packaging
- Count and verify product quantities
- Maintain accurate production and packaging records as required
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and free of hazards
- Follow work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures
- Report damaged products, equipment concerns, or quality issues to the supervisor
- Assist with general production duties as required
- Meet daily production targets while maintaining quality standards
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, or packaging experience is considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Able to stand for extended periods
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
