Location: Waterdown, ON
Pay: $23.00/hour
Shift: Days, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Blanchard Grinder to join a busy manufacturing environment in Waterdown. This is a great opportunity for a mechanically inclined individual with experience operating grinding equipment who takes pride in producing accurate, quality work.
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating a Blanchard grinder to grind and finish metal components according to specifications.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Set up and operate Blanchard grinding equipment safely and efficiently
- Grind metal components to specified dimensions and tolerances
- Read and interpret shop drawings, work orders, and specifications
- Measure finished parts using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Make adjustments to machine settings as required
- Load and unload materials and finished components
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment clean and organized
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work effectively as part of a production team
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience operating a Blanchard grinder or similar grinding equipment
- Strong understanding of machining and metalworking processes
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
- Experience using precision measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift and handle materials as required
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Commitment to workplace safety
