Job Full Description
We are currently recruiting for a Manager of Asset Management for a company in Sarnia ON.
The Manager of Asset Management is responsible for leading the Asset Management Program to meet strategic and operational requirements and manage the asset management team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement the Asset Management vision for large complex assets including developing and managing a continuous improvement process for predictive analysis and long-range financial planning of asset maintenance needs and Sustainable Service Delivery.
- Recommend corporate capacity-building measures and business process adjustments.
- Design, develop, implement, and review asset management plans, strategies, standards, and tools.
- Develop and maintain manuals, guidelines, policies, and procedures for levels of service, condition assessments, risk assessments, life cycle costing, financial analysis, and performance tracking.
- Lead training initiatives and implement digital tools.
- Prepare technical reports, recommendations, terms of reference, and presentation materials.
- Build collaborative relationships.
- Recommend, implement, and manage asset management software, including work order systems.
- Manage and support integration with GIS.
- Create frameworks and tools to support capital and operational planning, risk analysis, and life cycle costing.
- Coordinate consultant and contractor projects.
- Develop and maintain a long-term capital expenditure plan.
- Identify and support best practices for asset management.
Qualifications
- Related bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum five years’ related technical experience, including three years supervisory.
- Experience in lifecycle costing, risk assessment, budgeting, financial planning, and priority setting.
- Knowledge of Civil, Facilities, and IT infrastructure including compounds, buildings, utilities, and fleet.
- Familiarity with professional organizations (e.g., CNAM, FCM, OPWA, OGRA, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and change management skills.
- Experience with asset management software, GIS, and data analysis.
- Familiarity with construction, maintenance, transportation and utility infrastructure.
- Ability to manage consultants and contractors and interpret technical studies.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
