Job Full Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Lead to oversee our production team in a fast-paced food processing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and a solid understanding of food safety protocols. This role is crucial for ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining high standards of quality and sanitation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the production team, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules
- Oversee the fabrication, packaging, and sanitization processes to ensure compliance with food safety standards
- Train new employees on equipment operation, safety procedures, and production techniques.
- Monitor production quality, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, including inventory levels and equipment maintenance logs
- Collaborate with management to optimize processes and improve overall efficiency in the production line
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain production equipment effectively
- Experience in the food industry with a solid understanding of food processing techniques
- Basic math skills for inventory management and quality control measurements
- Knowledge of sanitation practices to ensure a clean and safe working environment
- Ability to fabricate and package products according to established guidelines
- Familiarity with food safety regulations to uphold compliance throughout the production process
- Forklift operation experience is preferred for material handling tasks within the facility
