Job Full Description
We are seeking a reliable and skilled AZ Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to handle various types of freight. The Driver will also be expected to perform routine vehicle maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate company vehicles to transport goods and materials to designated locations
- Ensure timely delivery while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing cargo
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transit
- Perform basic automotive repairs or maintenance as required
Qualifications:
- Valid commercial driver’s license (AZ) is preferred; experience with commercial driving is a plus
- Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic automotive repairs
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- A clean driving record is required, along with the ability to pass background checks as necessary
Wage: $62,400.00/Year
