Job Full Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our team. This position will start as a full-time role to assist with catch-up and cleanup of accounts and may transition to reduced hours over time.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing payroll, accounts payable/receivable, balancing, and cash handling in an automotive/service environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
- Process payroll for approximately 30 employees
- Manage cash handling, cash counting, and balancing, including preparation of deposit bags daily and reconciliation of POS slips
- Pay company bills and ensure all vendor accounts remain current
- Reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly accounts to maintain accuracy
- Assist with financial backlog and cleanup tasks
- Enter transactions and maintain accurate records in Protractor (auto shop management software)
- Support financial reporting and provide assistance for management as needed
Qualifications:
- Proven bookkeeping experience, ideally in a multi-location or automotive/service business setting
- Experience using Protractor (auto shop management software) or similar accounting/ERP systems
- Payroll processing experience with 30+ employees
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Wage: $22.00 - $25.00/Hour
