We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of freight. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining customer satisfaction. The best candidates will have a minimum of 3 -4 years experience with an AZ license, clean driver's abstract and experience driving a manual truck.
Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00AM-4:00PM( depends on the load)
Pay Rate: $29/hour plus 4% vacation pay
Paid weekly on payroll (no exceptions)
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy trucks to transport goods and materials to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Follow all federal, state, and local regulations regarding transportation and vehicle operation.
- Perform minor automotive repairs and maintenance on the truck as needed.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving with a strong understanding of freight transportation.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely, including forklifts.
- Basic knowledge of automotive repair for minor vehicle maintenance tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
