Job Full Description
We are hiring a Millwright for a large manufacturing company in the Brampton area. The ideal candidate has experience with VFD/PLC and is comfortable working independently.
Open to candidates without the 433A Millwright certification if it is the right experience.
Monday-Friday Afternoon Shift 3:00PM-11:00PM
Pay: $40-$41/hour

Responsibilities
- Work with different contractors, vendors / suppliers to complete the task / project.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical and electrical devices/ circuits in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
- Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
- Fabricate/ repair parts by using machine shop and welding instrumentation and equipment.
- Perform mechanical repairs implementation ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, and work requirements.
- Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
Experience
- 3+ years of experience as a Millwright or in a Maintenance Mechanic role
- PLC and VFD programming and troubleshooting experience
- Must have a valid reference
