Job Full Description

We are seeking a skilled Robotic Welder for night shift operations to join our Automotive manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating robotic welding equipment to produce high-quality welded components, primarily in the construction, ductwork, and manufacturing sectors. This role requires a strong understanding of welding techniques, mechanical systems, and safety protocols to ensure efficient and precise production.

Pay rate: $19/hour - $22/hour + 4% vacation pay ( based on experience )

Nights: 11:00PM-7:15AM

Duties

  • Operate robotic welding systems, including MIG and TIG welding processes, to fabricate metal components according to schematics and blueprints
  • Perform rigging and setup of welding equipment and robotic arms for various projects
  • Conduct plasma cutting, press brake machine operations, and machining tasks as needed for component preparation
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly and fabrication
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments to verify dimensions and quality standards
  • Assist with assembly of ductwork, structural components, or other fabricated parts following detailed specifications
  • Maintain safety standards by adhering to safety protocols during all operations, including proper use of personal protective equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance on robotic systems and manual tools to ensure optimal performance

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating robotic welding systems or similar automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong understanding of welding techniques, metallurgy, and safety procedures.
  • Previous work experience in an automotive manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of weld equipment
  • Knowledge of weld penetration is an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent English skills both oral and written.

Experience:

  • Robotic welding: 2 years (required)
