Job Full Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong welding expertise, mechanical knowledge, and electrical experience to perform a variety of fabrication and repair tasks. This role offers opportunities for leadership and supervision, contributing to the maintenance and improvement of our facilities and equipment. The Welder will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and quality of our production processes while providing excellent customer service and teamwork.

Shifts: Monday-Thursday ( Must be able to work both shifts)

Day shift: 5:00am-3:30pm

Afternoon shift:3:45pm-2:15am

Pay Rate: $23/hour - $28/hour (based on experience)

Duties

  • Perform welding operations using various techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding to fabricate or repair metal components according to schematics and technical drawings.
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to ensure precise fabrication and assembly.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation systems as needed.
  • Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Conduct electrical work related to facilities maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Supervise or assist in supervising team members during welding projects or maintenance tasks.
  • Assist with facilities maintenance, including troubleshooting mechanical issues and performing routine repairs.
  • Ensure all work meets safety standards and quality specifications; identify potential hazards or safety concerns proactively.
  • Provide leadership in training new team members or apprentices in welding techniques, safety procedures, and equipment operation.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by maintaining communication with internal teams regarding project status or issues.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in welding across various techniques such as MIG, TIG, arc welding; certification is required.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience working in manufacturing environments.
  • Electrical experience related to industrial systems is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings for fabrication purposes.
  • Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CMMS software for maintenance management.
  • Supervising experience or leadership skills are preferred for roles involving team oversight.
  • Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices including troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; ability to read technical documents clearly.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail; committed to safety standards.

Experience:

  • MIG welding: 3 years (required)
  • TIG welding: 3 years (required)
