Job Full Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Millwright 433A to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and maintenance expertise to ensure the optimal operation of industrial equipment. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance within a fast-paced industrial environment. The Millwright 433A will play a critical role in maintaining safety standards, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous production processes.

Shifts:

  • Afternoons -Monday to Thursday 3:30pm to 2:00am
  • Days Monday-Friday 6:30am - 3:00pm

Duties

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various industrial machinery and equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
  • Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems to diagnose and resolve electrical or mechanical issues.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on boilers, HVAC systems, conveyors, pumps, and other manufacturing equipment.
  • Operate CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, maintenance history, and inventory management.
  • Conduct welding, mechanical alignments, and adjustments to ensure machinery operates efficiently.
  • Assist with electrical work related to industrial electrician standards, including wiring and circuit analysis.
  • Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and control diagrams for accurate repairs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members to analyze equipment performance issues and implement solutions promptly.
  • Support customer service initiatives by ensuring machinery reliability and minimizing production disruptions.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Millwright or in industrial maintenance within manufacturing settings.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in welding, boiler systems, HVAC, electrical systems, and low voltage wiring.
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CMMS software, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Electrical experience with troubleshooting electrical components and systems integral to industrial operations.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately.
  • Excellent analysis skills for diagnosing complex mechanical or electrical issues efficiently.
  • Knowledge of safety standards related to industrial electrician work and machinery operation.
  • Good communication skills in English for effective teamwork and documentation purposes.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail.
  • Valid 433A Millwright license required (Dual Ticketed Millwright/ Electrician an asset)
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a manufacturing production environment
