We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various press machines used in the production of automotive components. Your expertise will ensure precision, safety, and efficiency throughout the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with CNC machinery, and a commitment to quality standards. Pay Rate: $22/hour - $25/hour (based on experience)

Shifts: Days 7am - 3:15pm, Afternoon 3pm - 11:15pm, Nights 11pm - 7:15am. (must be flexible to work all shifts)

Duties

  • Operate hydraulic and mechanical press machines to form automotive sheet metal and components according to detailed blueprints and specifications.
  • Set up, calibrate, and adjust press equipment, including CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, and press brake machines, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Utilize CNC programming skills to modify machine parameters for different production runs.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on press equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct quality inspections using calipers, hand tools, and visual checks to verify dimensional accuracy and adherence to specifications.
  • Read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical drawings for proper assembly and machining.
  • Support welding, assembly, and finishing processes as needed to meet production deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to crane operation, forklift handling, and machinery use.

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating industrial press machines in an automotive or manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency with CNC laser cutting, CNC programming, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, and other machining tools.
  • Mechanical knowledge of press brake machines, welding techniques, hand tools, and basic math skills for measurements.
  • Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings.
  • Experience with quality inspection tools such as calipers and gauges.
  • Familiarity with crane operation and forklift handling for material movement.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including machining, assembly, and welding.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently.
  • Commitment to safety standards and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.

Experience:

  • Press brake machine: 2 years (required)
