Job Full Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Installation Crew Leader to join our team. This hands-on leadership role involves overseeing a crew of 2–5 team members and managing all aspects of playground construction projects across Southwestern Ontario—from site prep to final installation.
This is a full-time, long-term position offering competitive pay and the opportunity to work on meaningful outdoor builds that serve communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a crew of 2–5 team members on construction projects
- Oversee the full installation process of playgrounds and recreational structures
- Operate machinery including skid steers and mini excavators
- Perform tasks such as augering holes, mixing and pouring concrete, carpentry, site layouts, and grading
- Load, unload, and identify materials, machinery, and tools; distribute according to project plans
- Ensure all work meets industry regulations, standards, and best practices
- Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure proper use of PPE and equipment
- Travel to various job sites across Southwestern Ontario (occasional overnights required)
- Work long days as needed to meet project timelines
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of construction experience (playground installation an asset)
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a crew
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, tools, and materials
- Ability to read and understand site layouts and grading plans
- Experience operating skid steer/mini excavator
- Chain saw experience or training preferred
- Experience working with synthetic turf (installation experience a bonus)
- Valid AR Driver’s License or willingness to obtain
- Valid First Aid Certification
- CSA-approved work boots required
- Clean Driver’s Abstract
- Reliable access to a vehicle and willingness to drive
- Ability to commute or relocate to Point Edward (Sarnia), ON
- Flexibility for occasional travel and overnight stays for remote projects
Wage: $35.00 - $45.00/Hour
