As the Operations and Recruiting Manager, she is deeply committed to helping businesses in her community thrive by connecting them with top-tier talent. Through relationship building, strategic marketing, and thoughtful planning, she has cultivated an extensive network that drives success for her clients. Her unwavering dedication to exceptional service consistently delivers results, bringing a refreshing and positive approach to recruiting the right employees.

In addition to her current role, she proudly serves as Chair of the Sarnia Community Foundation and contributes actively to Hospice Sarnia Lambton as a committee member. Previously, she led promotional events and reward programs, collaborating with vendors to secure prizing, advertising, and sponsorship while managing a dynamic team of up to thirty employees. Her experience ranges from orchestrating large-scale initiatives to fostering connections that elevate both business and community.

Tyler Whitbread

Co-Owner – Business Development

Tyler began his career at Express in August 2020 before becoming an owner in August 2022. Originally from Camlachie, he graduated from Indiana State University in Terre Haute with a Bachelor of Science in sport management and a minor in business administration. In addition to earing a coveted baseball scholarship to the school, Tyler played baseball for Team Canada, where he had the privilege or representing Canada in Australia and Japan.

He worked as part of the Indiana Pacers sales team and continues to volunteer his time running baseball camps for kids. He is also a recipient of the mayor’s Community Appreciation Award. Contact Tyler today and allow him to help you with your staffing solutions.

Sue Burgel

Co-Owner – Controller

With over 20 years as a Bookkeeper/Controller in retail, manufacturing, and service industries, along with a decade in management roles within retail and manufacturing, she now serves as the Controller and co-owner of Express, overseeing accounting and financial operations.

Her career path was inspired by an opportunity while working for the previous owner, sparking her long-standing goal of business ownership. She finds immense fulfillment in the rewarding moments when employees and employers connect seamlessly.

Since becoming an owner of Express, she has enjoyed building connections across the Sarnia-Lambton area. Her dedication extends to active involvement on several committees, including the Chamber’s Governance Committee, the SYC Finance Committee, the Jean Collective, and recently, the Board for the Women’s Interval Home.

Her contributions to the team and clients’ success are centered on maintaining communication with employees, especially those who may be seeking new opportunities. By staying engaged, she often uncovers potential matches between clients and candidates. Additionally, she ensures that back-office operations are efficient, enabling employees to be paid on time and staff to access essential resources.

Outside of work, she has a passion for sailing. During summer, she spends time on the lake, and in winter, she travels to destinations where she can continue to enjoy the sport. Sailing is a significant part of her life, and when not on the water or at work, she enjoys relaxing with an enjoyable book.

Co-Owner

Tyler McBean is a Co-Owner of Express Employment Professionals in Sarnia and the General Manager for CEDA Field Services, where he oversees operations across Eastern Canada. He brings extensive leadership experience and a deep understanding of managing teams and delivering results in dynamic environments.

Outside of work, Tyler enjoys spending quality time with his family, watching his sons play hockey, and perfecting his skills on the grill/smoker, cooking up delicious meals. He also loves traveling and creating unforgettable memories with his loved ones. For Tyler, these moments are the heart of what drives his passion and energy in all aspects of life.

Nicole Davis

Executive Recruiter – Accounting & Finance

Nicole became a member of the Express team in May of 2021. She grew up in Sarnia and attended Westervelt College in London for travel and tourism. Prior to entering the staffing industry, Nicole worked as a travel agent and office manager and came to Express with 16 years of experience in a fast-paced environment. She is a Program Advisory Committee member for the Office Administration programs (General, Executive, and Health Services) at Lambton College.

Outside of work, Nicole loves spending time with her two boys and enjoying the area’s beautiful beaches. She also likes travelling and going to concerts with family and friends. Jill serves as the Marketing and Events Coordinator at Express, where she brings her passion for creativity to every campaign. Although she did not formally study marketing, her natural talent for storytelling and out-of-the-box thinking allows her to craft engaging content that connects with clients and highlights the company’s values.

Jill thrives on working with her team to develop innovative strategies that reflect Express’s mission of helping businesses grow. Outside of work, she loves spending time with family and friends, vacationing, and cheering on her kids at hockey games.

Katherine Bidie

Payroll Administrator & Front Office Coordinator

Katherine joined the Express Sarnia team in August 2023. Born in Etobicoke, raised in Burlington, and attended post-secondary institutions in St. Catharine’s and Toronto. Katherine moved to Calgary, Alberta in 2007 and returned to Ontario to be closer to family in July 2023. Prior to moving back to Ontario, Katherine worked at a college, for over 10 years, as an Administrative Assistant. She loves making people feel welcome and helping them reach their goals.

Outside of work, Katherine enjoys spending time with her child, family, friends and her two big dogs. Often you can find Katherine creating art in various mediums such as paint, fabric or making jewelry with semi-precious stones.

Nolan Miller

Business Development

Nolan Miller began his career with Express Employment Professionals in 2026 as a Business Development Representative serving companies across the Sarnia Lambton region. Originally from Ontario, Nolan is currently completing the Pre Service Firefighter program at Lambton College while building his career in business development and client relations.

Before joining Express, Nolan gained experience working with local businesses where he focused on building strong relationships and helping organizations find practical solutions to support their growth. In his role at Express, Nolan works closely with employers throughout the community to better understand their hiring challenges and connect them with flexible staffing solutions that support both short-term and long-term workforce needs.

Outside of work, Nolan has a strong background in athletics, having spent over 15 years playing competitive hockey and mentoring younger athletes through coaching and training. He remains passionate about personal development, community involvement, and helping local businesses succeed.
