Job Full Description
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our client’s team. The successful candidate will oversee financial operations, ensure accuracy in financial reporting, and manage the accounting team. This role focuses on cash flow management, financial analysis, and ensuring timely, accurate financial statements. Experience with union accounting is an asset.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee contract management from invoicing, follow-up, and completion
- Conduct monthly and year-end account analysis and prepare the full financial package monthly
- Oversee Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), and payroll teams, ensuring accurate processes and compliance
- Provide backup support for payroll processing when needed
- Manage cash flow and optimize financial resources
- Review, analyze, and ensure timely preparation of financial statements
- Perform financial analysis to support business decisions
- Maintain and enhance financial policies and mentor accounting staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
- Experience in the construction industry with union accounting is preferred
- Proficiency in Excel, ADP, and financial analysis software
- Strong analytical skills and ability to manage deadlines
Wage: $80,000/Year + Bonus
