Job Full Description
Our client, a leading distributor of top commercial cleaning products, seeks a skilled and reliable Electro-Mechanical Service Technician to join their close-knit team. As a family-oriented company, they're looking for a long-term partner to contribute to their continued success and growth.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with janitorial equipment, including mechanical and AC/DC electrical systems
- Perform repairs and maintenance, including replacing parts and components such as squeegee blades, wheels, motors, PCBs, and other necessary components
- Conduct on-site service calls to resolve equipment issues
- Repair and refurbish trade-in equipment in-shop
- Overhaul and restore equipment to working condition
- Diagnose and repair a range of janitorial equipment, including: Vacuums, Floor polishers, Carpet extractors, Battery-powered floor scrubbers
- Other duties as assigned
Required skills and qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting and repairing AC/DC electrical systems
- Valuable experience with small engines, pressure washers, or propane equipment
- Appliance repair background is desirable
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a professional and courteous demeanor
- Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Proficient in basic computer operations
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities
- Electro-Mechanical or Electronics Diploma preferred

The salary for this position ranges between $50,000 - $70,000 per year depending on experience.
Monday to Friday – Hours are 8:30am – 5:00pm - Ottawa East
