Chris Vandenbosch

Co-Owner & President

Chris is a seasoned business professional who brings extensive knowledge, leadership, and entrepreneurial drive to his role as the franchise owner of Express Employment Professionals in Ottawa. A graduate of Algonquin College’s Business Administration – Advanced program, Chris built a strong foundation early in his career through various roles in the public sector, including positions with the City of Ottawa and the Federal Public Service. These experiences strengthened his understanding of organizational operations, community needs, and the importance of effective workforce solutions.

Driven by a long‑standing entrepreneurial spirit, Chris always envisioned building something of his own—something that would create meaningful impact and contribute to the success of others. His desire to make a difference in his local community, combined with his passion for helping people achieve their goals, ultimately led him toward business ownership.

In 2013, Chris and his partner Jennifer acquired the Express Employment Professionals franchise in Ottawa, marking the realization of his dream. Under his leadership, the business has grown steadily, expanding its reach and strengthening its reputation as a trusted partner for both employers and job seekers. Chris’s commitment to excellence, paired with his ability to adapt and persevere through the challenges of entrepreneurship, has been central to the franchise’s continued success.

Chris is dedicated to fostering meaningful connections between job seekers and local businesses. His guidance has helped countless individuals secure fulfilling employment opportunities while supporting companies in finding the skilled talent they need to thrive. He takes pride in creating an environment where people feel supported, valued, and empowered to succeed.

Outside of work, Chris is an avid golf and technology enthusiast. He enjoys staying active on the golf course, exploring the latest innovations in tech, and spending quality time with his son.

Jennifer Bleau

Co-Owner & Vice-President

Jennifer’s professional journey began immediately after high school when she secured a permanent position with the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) within the Federal Public Service. While working full‑time, she continued her education on a part‑time basis at Algonquin College, demonstrating her commitment to growth and lifelong learning.

During her time with CBSA, Jennifer played a key role in the successful launch of the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative in 2009, contributing to an important national project that strengthened border security and travel documentation standards. In 2012, her department was affected by federal budget cuts—an unexpected turning point that opened the door to new possibilities.

Rather than viewing this setback as a limitation, Jennifer embraced it as an opportunity to redefine her career path and make a meaningful impact in her community. Together with her husband, Chris, she pursued entrepreneurship and opened an Express Employment Professionals staffing franchise in Ottawa.

Motivated by a genuine passion for helping others, Jennifer partnered with Express to bring valuable employment solutions to the National Capital Region. Since 2013, Express Ottawa has grown steadily under her and Chris’s leadership, earning a reputation as one of the region’s most trusted staffing firms. Their commitment to integrity, community involvement, and fair, transparent staffing practices has been central to the company’s success.

Express Ottawa specializes in a wide range of staffing and recruitment services, including Administration, Accounting, Management, Light Industrial, and Logistics/Transportation. Their comprehensive offerings—Temporary Staffing, Contract Staffing, Evaluation Hire, and Professional Search—allow them to support both job seekers and employers with tailored, effective workforce solutions.
