Business Development Representative 

We are thrilled to welcome Warren to our Express Employment Professionals team in Ottawa! As a dynamic professional with diverse industry experience, he brings a fresh perspective and entrepreneurial spirit to our growing team.

Warren brings a unique educational foundation with a degree in Music Industry Arts from Fanshawe College, complemented by a rich background spanning multiple industries. His experience ranges from audio engineering and customer service roles to operating his own car detailing business.

His diverse industry experience and entrepreneurial mindset enable him to quickly identify the staffing challenges that businesses face today, and his commitment to excellence drives him to help Ottawa businesses not just meet, but exceed their high-level business goals. He is dedicated to ensuring that every client interaction with Express Employment Professionals results in meaningful connections between talented candidates and growing businesses.

Outside of work, Warren is passionate about sports and fitness, enjoying hockey, golf, football, and weightlifting. He values spending quality time with family and friends, and is always eager to take on new challenges and learn new skills.

Krista Burleigh, CPC

Team Leader, Light Industrial and Skilled Trades 

Krista joined Express in February 2018, bringing over a decade of experience as an Office and Operations Manager in the automotive and skilled trades sectors. A graduate of the University of Western Ontario's Philosophy program, Krista has established a strong reputation for building and maintaining effective relationships with clients, employees, and customers.

With a deep understanding of the challenges associated with finding and retaining top talent in today's competitive market, Krista is dedicated to helping companies identify and secure ideal candidates. She is equally passionate about assisting individuals in finding fulfilling career opportunities that align with their skills, interests, and values.

As a seasoned professional with a keen instinct for matching talent with opportunity, Krista is continually seeking out new and exciting prospects. Her expertise and passion for delivering exceptional results have earned her the nickname "professional matchmaker."

When she's not working, Krista loves to stay active, travel, and explore her creative side through writing. She's also a lifelong Toronto Maple Leafs fan.

Employment Specialist, Light Industrial 

John joined the Express team in May 2023, bringing over 10 years of experience in customer service and sales, as well as a solid educational foundation from Algonquin College.

With a genuine passion for helping others, John excels in one-on-one environments where he can provide personalized support and guidance. His diverse professional background, including retail management at Foot Locker, personal training at GoodLife Fitness, and insurance adjusting, has equipped him with the skills and expertise necessary to deliver exceptional results and exceed client expectations.

John's commitment to excellence is reflected in his approach to building lasting relationships and delivering exceptional service. With a passion for empowering others, he is dedicated to fostering strong connections, providing personalized support, and helping individuals achieve their goals.

In his free time, John pursues his passion for sports and fitness, enjoying activities such as weightlifting, hockey, golf, and fishing. He values his personal relationships highly and prioritizes spending time with his large family and close friends.

Connor McKibbin, CPC

Senior Employment Specialist, Office Services and Accounting/Finance 

Connor is a dedicated Employment Specialist who joined the Express team in October 2022. With a strong educational foundation in Psychology from Carleton University, he possesses a deep understanding of human behavior and motivations.

Connor's professional background is characterized by a unique blend of experience in labour, sales, and customer service. His tenure as a Retail Store Manager with Bell Canada afforded him valuable expertise in recruitment, talent management, and customer relations.

As an Employment Specialist, Connor leverages his skills and experience to facilitate successful matches between candidates and employers. His passion for building meaningful connections with others enables him to provide personalized support and guidance to job seekers.

Away from the office, he is an avid reader, movie enthusiast, and skilled drummer. He is also a devoted cat parent.

Connor's long-term vision is to contribute to the growth and success of Express, while making a positive impact on the Ottawa community by connecting individuals with fulfilling employment opportunities.

Mia Lacroix

Bilingual Recruitment Specialist    

Mia joined the Express team in August 2023, bringing a passion for all aspects of human resources. As she begins her career in recruitment and placement, she is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Human Resources Management at the University of Ottawa.

With a natural talent for helping individuals find fulfilling employment and achieve professional satisfaction, Mia has found a perfect fit with Express. Her innate passion for supporting others in their career journeys is evident in her approach to her work.

As a bilingual professional, Mia is proficient in both English and French, enabling her to provide exceptional support to clients in both languages. This skill allows her to effectively communicate with a diverse range of clients, facilitating successful placements and fostering strong relationships.

Outside of her professional and academic pursuits, Mia enjoys exploring the diverse culinary scene in Ottawa, sampling cuisine from various cultures. In her downtime, she can be found watching the latest television series or cheering on the Montreal Canadiens.
