Job Full Description
Our client, a leading manufacturer of driveshafts and remanufacturer of steering gears, is seeking a skilled Driveline Technician to join their team. If you're passionate about working with your hands, have a love for cars (whether it's your job or hobby!), and enjoy the satisfaction of taking things apart and putting them back together, this could be the perfect fit. You'll thrive in a hands-on environment where getting a little dirty is part of the job. We're looking for a team player who's inquisitive, eager to learn, and not afraid to ask questions.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Fabricate new driveshafts to specifications
- Repair and refurbish existing driveshafts
- Operate lathe machinery to precision-cut driveshaft components
- Utilize MIG welding equipment for fabrication and repair tasks
- Disassemble driveshafts for maintenance, repair, or refurbishment
- Use hand tools, such as hammers, to facilitate disassembly and assembly processes
- Other duties as assigned
Required skills and qualifications:
- Previous experience in the automotive industry (e.g., oil changes, tire swaps) is a plus
- Mechanically inclined with a strong understanding of mechanical systems
- Ability to follow procedures and instructions accurately
- Proficient in using various tools, including drills, grinders, oxy torch, impact wrench, and MIG welder
- Strong problem-solving skills with a willingness to ask questions when needed
- Passion for cars and automotive repair (hobby experience welcome)

Monday-to-Friday – 7:30am to 4:30pm
$23.00 - $24.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
