Job Full Description

Our client, a leading industrial company in the East End, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Clerk for a 5-month contract with a possibility of permanent placement. Join their dynamic purchasing department and take on a key role in supporting their team.

Required skills and qualifications: 

  • 1 year of experience in an office setting, with a proven track record of administrative support
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with diverse priorities
  • Strong ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, with a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
  • Positive, proactive, and solutions-oriented approach to work
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact with clients, colleagues, and management in a professional and courteous manner
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information and ideas
  • Solid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems
  • Fluency in English and French a strong asset

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage vendor inquiries and order status updates, ensuring timely communication and resolution of issues
  • Process routine purchase orders with suppliers, verifying accuracy and completeness of orders
  • Handle departmental inquiries and direct to relevant parties, providing excellent customer service and ensuring efficient issue resolution
  • Provide general administrative support to the team, maintaining organized files and records, and assisting with special projects and initiatives
  • Distribute incoming faxes and emails to relevant department members, ensuring timely and accurate communication
  • Perform data entry tasks in the company system, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
  • Undertake additional administrative tasks as required, including inventory management, meeting coordination, and support for team meetings and events

Wage: $22.85 per hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday – 7:30am – 4:00pm
