Job Full Description
Our client, a leading production facility in Ottawa, is now hiring a Production Worker to join their team! This exciting opportunity offers a chance to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of a reputable organization.
Required skills and qualifications:
· Previous production experience an asset
· Proven track record of safe food handling practices and knowledge of food quality standards
· Detail-oriented with strong observational skills
· Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
· Strong willingness to learn and adapt
· Physical demands include lifting up to 30lbs and standing/walking for 8 hours in a refrigerated environment (10°C).
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
· Accurately locate and pick specific lots from a large inventory of products
· Enter lot information into proprietary software with high accuracy
· Prepare ingredients for kitchen use, collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
· Stage and move racks and equipment as needed
· Maintain a sanitary and organized workstation, adhering to company procedures and food safety policies
· Ensure proper storage and labeling of ingredients
· Work in a refrigerated environment (10°C) for most of the shift
· Perform other tasks as assigned by management
Wage: $19.95 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday – 6:30am to 3:00pm
