Job Full Description
Our long-standing client, a well-established organization with over 75 years of success, based in the West End, is seeking a Forklift Operator for a 2-month contract, with the potential for extension.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Minimum of one year of experience in a similar role
- Prior forklift operating experience required
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Willingness and ability to learn new tasks and processes
- Physically capable of lifting items up to 50lbs
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Operate a forklift to safely load and unload products from delivery trucks
- Receive, inspect, and accurately count incoming shipments
- Unpack and place received goods in designated warehouse locations
- Guide delivery trucks on-site and assist drivers with unloading
- Prepare customer orders for transfers and deliveries
- Load materials into company and customer vehicles as required
- Replenish stock in both the warehouse and front counter areas
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and yard, ensuring proper stock storage
- Provide back-up support at the counter to assist customers when needed
- Pick, pack, and stage customer orders for shipment or pickup
- Safely lift and move items weighing up to 50lbs
- Perform other related duties as assigned

The wage for this position starts at $22.50 per hour.
Monday to Friday – 6:30am to 3:30pm or 7:00am to 4:00pm
