Their location in Nepean is seeking a Project Manager / Estimator to join their team. As part of their collaborative team, you’ll help deliver high-quality projects and build lasting client relationships from planning through completion.

Required skills and qualifications
- Must have minimum 2 years’ experience in fire protection industry
- Estimating experience considered a strong asset
- Experience as an Installer is considered an asset
- Excellent English communication skills, French considered an asset
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Self-starter with ability to manage multiple ongoing projects at any given time
- Experience using MS Office Suite, especially MS Excel for project tracking and estimating
- Keen attention to detail
- Must have valid driver’s license (for conducting site visits and client meetings)
- Highly organized and able to adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to liaise with wide variety of clientele and stakeholders
Duties may include, but are not limited to
- Manage a portfolio of projects
- Monitor schedules, progress, and budgets
- Maintain project records and report progress regarding project milestones, deliverables, risks, and issues to Contract Manager
- Conduct site visits and liaise effectively with consultants, engineers, general contractors, site supervisors, and other trades
- Coordinate the preparation of drawings, material lists, safety plans, and field installation with site crews
- Complete pre-qualification documents, review drawings/specifications, develop proposals, secure purchase orders/contracts
- Coordinate design, material, labour, subcontractors, and change orders
- Provide on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
- Prepare estimates for building owners, contractors, and tender opportunities
- Continue professional development to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods, and best practices
- Other tasks as required
Starting Salary ranges from $80,000 to $85,000 per year, depending on experience. Incumbent will also be eligible to participate in the performance based annual incentive program.
Typical Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm. Some flexibility by 30 minutes each way (e.g. 7:30am to 3:30pm).
