Job Full Description
Our client, a not-for-profit association headquartered in the West End of Ottawa, serving the Ottawa community with 11 different locations, is looking for an eager and professional Junior Support Analyst to join their team on a full-time basis. The Junior Support Analyst will work under the guidance of the Manager of IS/IT and perform tasks/duties in support of the IT service delivery such as recording and confirming IT assets, actioning assigned support requests and tickets, preparing expired assets for disposal, validating end-user Active Directory and Exchange memberships, and testing software/hardware configurations.
***Please note this is a fully in-office position (not hybrid/remote) and therefore requires someone who currently resides in Ottawa, ON. Relocations will not be considered at this time.***
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Performing comprehensive asset inventory tasks and preparing relevant reports while consulting with staff and/or Managed Services Provider (MSP)
- Reviewing and identifying inventory gaps and addressing discrepancies while verifying accuracy of recorded data
- Responding to user requests pertaining to hardware/software issues as assigned through the helpdesk application
- Performing tasks in support of onboarding/offboarding assets
- Testing hardware/software configurations
- Attending different sites throughout Ottawa to provide appropriate IT support to the organization
- Gathering and reporting on Active Directory and Exchange object membership; identifying duplicates, expired accounts, and distribution list discrepancies
- Other duties as assigned
Required skills and qualifications:
- Must have 1-years’ experience in a similar role
- Must have valid driver’s license and own vehicle (mileage will be reimbursed when visiting different locations for work purposes)
- Excellent English communication skills—both verbal and written
- Relevant post-secondary education is required (Computer Systems Technician / Technology, Network Administration, Computer Networking, Computer Science, etc.)
- A+ certification is ideal
- Strong knowledge of and experience with MS 365
- Experience with Active Directory & Exchange Management an asset
- Ability to record detailed information
- Ability to take initiative, be resourceful, and work in a less structured and evolving environment
- Ability to work with a sense of autonomy

Monday to Friday – 8:30am to 4:30pm
Starting Wage: $28.00 to $34.00 per hour, depending on experience
